Assessor’s Report
All property is assessed as it exists on April 1st of each year. Property is assessed to the owner on that date and new construction projects are assessed by the percent of completion. The tax maps are also updated as of April first.

Applications for tax exemption (Veterans Exemption, Homestead Exemption, Blind Exemption, Tree Growth, and Open Space) must be filed with the assessor on or before April 1st, applications are available at the assessor’s office.

In 2011 the Town’s State Valuation decreased by 0.2%. Tremont’s Assessment Ratio, received from the State in August of 2011 was 99.04% with a quality rating of 13.
